Everyone Likes Food

Here is a little update on the fundraiser for the Larsen family. (Please check this out if you have no idea what I'm talking about).

Maddox rocks! You will be able to order Any Family Meal for take out on November 5th and the profit ($10 for family of 4 meal or $5 for family of 2 meal) will be given to Daryl and Ashley Larsen. Any meal people! Eat extra! This is an awesome opportunity to help people we love by eating. Please remember to mention the Larsen family name when ordering and/or paying.

Keep getting the word out. I can't believe how well the word is spreading, but we have got to keep it up. Please copy and paste. I really appreciate everyone's help!

Hum Drum

Once again, I have nothing too profound to say, but I feel the need to update my blog. Feel free to fall asleep (or it might be easier to just not read it)…

This weekend Josh and I hung out at home and cleaned and such. We ran lots of errands and drove on Legacy Highway for the first time. Big woop right? Sunday was more of the same, but we did go to church.

Yesterday we went to work and when we got home, we got to babysit Kylie for a little bit while her parent’s were at the doctor’s office. (I’m pleased to report that everything is going well with Julie’s pregnancy). We hung out with them for a while after and got Julie and Jeremy mostly caught up on The Office. Then I went to bed at like 8:30 because I didn’t sleep at all the night before!

Sorry this is so boring; I just felt the need to update. Soon I will have some cute pictures of Halloween so look forward to that I guess.

Please Help...

I just don't even know what to say here, I'm copying most of this from a friends blog, because I don't have any words of my own.

My husband's family is really close with the family of Daryl and Ashley Larsen. Since most of you probably don't know them, they are a young couple in Perry, who just lost their baby to a rare lung disorder. Their loss is a tragedy and it is truly the saddest and most difficult story I think I've ever heard. They are in our prayers!

They are now experiencing the beginnings of what will be a land slide of medical bills. In an effort to aide them, there will be a one day fundraiser at the Maddox Steak House. On November 5, you can call Maddox at 723-2916 and order the Turkey Steak dinner. You can choose the 2 or 4 person family meal at the regular price. All proceeds will then be donated to the Larsen family. You do need to remember to mention the Larsen family name when ordering. You can then pick up your meal at the take out window in the back of Maddox. It will be for lunch and dinner.

Please help this little family out! Order some yummy food and help spread the word. Feel free to copy and paste this post on your blog. Thank you!

Tagged! (My Man)

What is your husbands’ name? Joshua Earl Jones
How long have you been married? 1 Year and 4 Days
How long did you date? We started dating when we were sixteen and didn’t stop until Josh left on his mission. Then I waited for him for 2 years. Then we were engaged for about 3 months so total before we were married was abut 5 ½ years!
How old is he? 22- same as me
Who eats more sweets? Me!
Who said "I love you first"? Josh? I don’t know, but I was pretty scared at first so probably him, but I said it right back…
Who is taller? Um, have you met me? Josh is taller.
Who can sing the best? He would say me, I would disagree
Who is smarter? Book smart is probably Josh, but definitely he wins in common sense!
Who pays the bills? I do, Josh is good with money, but I already have a system going.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do. I always have had the right side.
Who mows the lawn? We don’t have a lawn yet, but I have never mowed in my life and I intend to keep it that way!
Who cooks dinner? I need/want to get better at this so I attempt, but Josh is an amazing cook and makes such delicious meals!
Who drives? Josh, apparently I’m a bad driver. :)
Who kissed who first? Josh wanted to kiss me really bad, but it was my first kiss and I was scared. About a month after we were exclusively dating it happened and well it was mutual.
Who asked who out first? Josh asked me out to the fireworks, FINALLY and I ran through my house screaming I was so excited. Nerdy? Yes, but in love!
Who wears the pants? I would like to think I do and I’m sure Josh would too. We will just leave it there.

Since I feel this is a good opportunity, I just want to tell Josh that I really do love him a lot and thank him for being SUCH a great husband. I love you forever and I love you for always!

I tag anyone who has a free minute and hasn't done this yet! Come on people I need stuff to read at work! But since no one will do it with just that: Lindsey, Brianna, Laura, Tina, Adrian, Jaci, Rhonda, Sarah, Debbie, Angie, Kirsten, Shera, Katie, Amanda, Hannah, do you get the picture? EVERYONE who has time, no pressure!

One Year Going On Eternity!

That's right people, today is our one-year anniversary! And I have purposely not posted any wedding pictures on here yet, preparing for this day! So be aware, there are LOTS of pictures here.

October 19th, 2007 was (up until today) the best day of my life! (And I'd like to think Josh's too). We were sealed to be together forever in the Logan, Utah LDS temple. And there isn't a whole lot I can say to describe it. All my dreams came true that day. The man I had loved, dated, waited for, and dated again, for 6 years FINALLY became my husband. There just aren't any words for what that meant to me. The day was perfect! We had SO many family and friends there to support us, I loved everything about everything, and it was PERFECT! Here are tons of pictures from that day. If you feel like skipping them there is a recap of our one-year celebrations below...

Slide Show of the temple and a few bridals-

Slide Show of our reception (complete with cake cutting and car damage)-

First of all, we are going to San Diego the beginning of December so this was just going to be a fun weekend at home. On Saturday I went to Logan to take some pictures, which turned out beautifully and might have resulted in me getting my first wedding, but enough about that. I was gone most of the day and was very happy to come home to my sweet husband and this.

He made me a beautiful and truly delicious dinner and bought me a dozen, long-stemmed, pink roses! We watched a chick-flick later and it was just fantastic.

Sunday we drove around, went out to eat (I know, but it was our anniversary) and then watched our wedding video and ate our wedding cake. Which was not so tasty so we just had a few bites.

I loved my wedding day, I loved the flowers, I loved my family and friends, I loved my dress, but most importantly... I loved that I was finally marrying Josh. And I thought nothing could ever top that day. But this weekend did. I know it doesn't sound like much, but just having uninterrupted time with Josh was the best. I truly believe no one has ever had a better and never will have a better weekend that mine.

I LOVE YOU JOSH!!!

Here It Goes Again

We drove up Friday night right after work and Josh dropped me off at my friend Nichole’s house. I took her senior pictures a few years ago and she wanted some new ones to send to her missionary. (Whoot, woot for waiting for missionaries). Unfortunately, we only had less than an hour of light and I was having issues with my flash, but we did get some great pictures.

Saturday, Josh and I drove back down to Brigham City to look at a house. No, we are not planning on buying a house we just saw a really cute one on KSL and they were having an open house. We do plan to move there once our contract ends in April.

Then Josh’s exciting news… Josh got to audition to be in a band on Saturday. Some of his friends from high school were having problems with their current bassist and so Josh now has a band! This is really great for Josh because he loves music so much. It is great for him to be involved in it again! We also got to hang out with one of our friends from the old Cinefour days, Bob. That was really a lot of fun; until they started playing Zelda, just because I have no idea who Ganon is.

Sunday we ran some errands and looked for good outdoor photo places for me. (That wouldn’t be used because of the dumb snow)! Then we got to hang out with the Jones’ for a while and take family pictures. These were a lot of fun and turned out very cute I think! Big thanks to my sister, Janece, for pushing the buttons and honking the horn!

Monday I had the day off (whoot woot again). And I used it very wisely and cleaned our whole house, which needed to be done badly.

Tuesday and today (Wednesday) were filled with work and such and the end! Asleep? Me too!

Oops, We Did It Again

Yes people, Josh and I don't plan this, but every once in a while we end up matching when we leave for work. Again I will say, good thing we don't work together anymore. (If you can't tell I'm wearing gray pants too)!

I will post again soon with our weekend of adventures in Logan and pictures from my first two official photo shoots!

Tagged! (Quirks)

So Kathy tagged me to reveal 6 quirks about me and I have to say that I have way more than this, but here are my most ridiculous ones.
(Oh and thanks for the tag, because has anyone notice how good I’ve been doing with updating, huh? Applause is necessary)!

I have to eat things in even numbers. If I have a handful of crackers, I have to eat them in twos (usually switching between the left and right side of my mouth to stay “even”) and if I have one left over, I either have to get more or make someone eat the last one. It is particularly bad with Goldfish crackers because I also have to have even amounts of the ones with faces and the ones without.

I love flip-flops. I would wear them 24/7 for all 365 days of the year if it were socially acceptable. I’ve worn them in snow before and was just fine with it. I own just about every color that Old Navy makes and I’m obsessive about matching the color of them to my shirt, not my pants, my shirt!

(Sorry to steal this one Kathy, but I do it too and it annoys even me). I always save the middle of my food for the end. Sandwiches, in particular because the middle always has the most stuff and tastes the best.

I love blankets and quilts! I am always under one, even if I’m hot, because they are so comfy. I end up with almost the entire blanket almost every night and Josh ends up freezing. I’m contemplating buying two down comforters so that we can each have one. Maybe Josh would sleep comfortably then. I just can’t get enough blankets!

I quote movies and TV shows all the time; usually stuff off of Grey’s Anatomy, Mean Girls, John Tucker Must Die, or other such movies. The problem is that no one ever knows what I’m talking about, but I think I’m hilarious and laugh for hours about it.

I hate the feeling of stuff underneath my fingernails. About a year ago I discovered that if I use my tweezers to get under there, they get really clean. Since then I can’t go a day without picking at my fingernails. Once I decide I have to, it is full on panic-mode until I find my tweezers. I usually do it while watching TV and Josh hates it!

I tag: Noelle, Laura, Tina, Brianna, Gina, and Adrian.
But please don’t feel obligated! We can still be friends if you don’t play!

PS. I think I figured out that I didn’t meet the Seriously, So Blessed girl. But I was really excited about it there for a minute!

Seriously, So Blessed

Okay I’m sure most people already know about this blog, but just in case I had to make mention of it and tell my cool story!

There is this blog that is mostly satire, but is making fun of all us LDS wives and mothers who go on and on about how perfect our life is. How much we love our husbands and families and children and such. Anyway it is just the funniest thing on this planet and I love it so much I’m telling everyone to read it. It makes me laugh on a daily basis!

If you already read it then you’re cool. If not, start at the beginning and read through all the posts, it may take a while, but it is totally worth it! Also the comments are sometimes the funniest part.

Now, if you do read it already then I hope you will appreciate this…
I’m totally shrieking out right now! I just read the last post on her blog and in it she talks about going to her husbands Brasilia, Brazil mission reunion. Now I know that it is a fake blog, but I think it is at least based in truth and I really think I met this woman at the reunion. I guess I could e-mail her and try to figure out if I did or not, but I think I’m just gonna keep it in my head that I met her and be happy! So anyone else happy for me?

Somos Chamados (We Are Called)

So everyone who reads this blog, knows that I don't actually blog about something until a few days after it happens; but this was just too amazing!  I just met a man and a woman who I was sure I would never meet and now I'm eternally grateful that I did.

We just got back from Josh's mission reunion and Marcos and Luisa Aidukaitis (Josh's mission president and wife) are the most amazing couple I've ever met.  I have never just instantly fallen in love with someone (besides my dear husband, of course) like that.  I now know why Josh talks about them so much.  She bore her testimony on motherhood and it made me so excited for children of my own!  I really just don't have any words for it.  A room full of missionaries bearing their testimonies and then to hear a member of the seventy and his wife... it was hands down the most spiritual experience of my life!

I know that probably no one will read this before it happens, but Marcos Aidukaitis is speaking in the morning session of conference tomorrow and I encourage everyone to watch and feel of his presence.  He is an incredible man who holds a special place in our little family's heart.  Enjoy your weekend!

Ain't Nothing New

I have nothing interesting to say, but I’m determined to update this more often so here are the little happenings of our lives.

Josh’s license came so he is completely official now and ready to sell insurance.

We are going to Josh’s mission reunion tomorrow. Josh’s mission president (Marcos Aidukaitis) was put into the First Quorum of the Seventy in the April session and will be in SLC for conference this session. I’m really hoping he gets to speak or something.

Josh is beyond ecstatic since almost all of his close friends from the mission will be there. I’m very excited to meet everyone and especially to meet Brother and Sister Aidukaitis. They helped my husband so much while he was out and made me feel better that someone was watching over him. Hopefully I will have some good pictures of that coming soon.

And last, but not least. I’m trying to get a photography business up and going so if anyone wants some free pictures done, I’m in need of test subjects. I come to Logan all the time and I won’t be offended if you end up not using them for anything. Family pictures season is coming up…
