Very Boring Post

Hi! This is going to be brief. Mainly because not a lot happened and I have next to no pictures. Here goes. Starting with last Monday.

Monday-Wednesday
Party clean up. Found rice in places I didn’t know I had (in the house).

Thursday
Three hour grocery store trip. Gross! We have had little to no food in our house for like two months now. I was sick of it. I am determined to get into a steady, eating at home routine.

Friday
We laid sod at Jeremy and Julie’s. I helped too. I even loaded and pushed the wheelbarrow. I felt very strong and empowered.

Saturday
We went to Scott and Kathy’s with everyone to watch the US play. We lost. It was sad. But I had fun with the food and the family.

Then Josh went to band practice and I hung out with my family.

Sunday
We went to our ward for only the second time… boo us. Then we went back up to Logan for Brandon’s birthday. He is sixteen now. Those of you who live in Cache Valley… drive better.

Brandon is a dork, but we love him.

Janece and Trae. Sadly the only picture I have of him since his party.

Monday
I finally called the plumber man to fix our leaky sink. He gave me (at a cost) new fixtures. LOVE THEM.

Tuesday
My mom and sister came down and played with me during the day and then we went to Twilight at midnight. It was late. We got slap happy. It was tons of fun. Tons! Janece and I wore Edward and Jacob shirts to be funny. I am Team Edward. The movie was awesome if you go just to be entertained, which we did.

Today (Wednesday)
I have done a lot of sleeping today. Traegan has been kind enough to let me.

We also went to the doctor for his one-year check up and shots. He is growing wonderfully and is finally tolerating dairy products. I win. (The doctor kept telling me to keep him away from them, but I decided he would never get used to it if he didn’t try it, one week later, he is fine with dairy, go me).

Length- 28 inches- 3% (My paper says 3% even though I swear he said 10% there, who knows).
Weight- 18 pounds 2.5 ounces- <3% But he is on the move and progressing at a really good rate. The doctor says he should be on the charts in a much better position soon.
Head- 45 ¼ centimeters- 18% Little smart butt!

And that is life as of the last week and some. If you actually read this, you are cool.

Traegan's Party

Traegan had a party yesterday. It was his party and he could have cried if he wanted to... but he didn't. He was perfect. He let all the guests maul him. Played with all his presents and ate his cake and made a mess. He is the best little one year old I've ever seen.

The invitation (sorry if you weren't invited, it was family only). :)

The whole reason I took all those pictures of Traegan. (By the way I have done two great photo shoots with Trae for his one year and they are coming soon).

Traegan's haul before opening them. (Not pictured is the massive jungle gym thing that Scott and Kathy gave him. It may require a whole other blog post because he LOVES it).

Opening presents... Traegan loved everything he got. And he really loved opening presents.

One of Josh and I's gifts was this giant Handy Mandy coloring book. Trae loves Handy Manny and sadly has been watching it a lot lately as we put the house together.

He started clapping when he saw it.

After we opened presents we started getting ready to serve cake and when I looked at Bug he was just loving the presents he received.

The cakes. We had a big guitar cake for every one and then a little one for Traegan to just dig into all by himself.

He patiently waited for his cake.

He was a little confused by the singing and Jettsen luckily was there to help blow out the candle.

I had to help him get started, but once he tasted that sugar...

He just went to town and made the perfect little one year old cake mess.

All in all it was the perfect day and we were so glad so many people came to see us and celebrate with us.

We love Traegan more than we could ever say and this has been the best year of our lives to date! Hopefully it just keeps getting better.

To Josh- Best Father EVER!

I know every one starts their annual Father’s Day post with how their husband is the best father in the world, but I don’t care. Mine REALLY is.

Josh has yet to have a “real” Father’s Day celebration. Last year we were in the hospital having Traegan on Father’s Day and I hadn’t even thought about anything remotely close to giving him a gift. And this year it just so happened to be Traegan’s birthday.

Josh said, (and I quote) “I could care less about Father’s Day, it’s Bug’s birthday!” What an awesome dad!

Trae and I still tried to make it at least a little special. We woke him up early and gave him a card that Traegan colored (he really did) and his token lame present.

But Josh spent most of the day and especially the night before (who are we kidding, weeks before) taking orders from me on what to do next on the house and consoling me when I got too overwhelmed or when my cake broke. He honestly should get some sort of award for what he had done for our little family and our house.

So Traegan and I are officially giving Josh the best dad in the world award. We love you and appreciate you more than we can say. And sorry if we don’t say it enough!

See How I've Grown

Traegan is one. Don't quite know how that happened. But it's easier for me to see the progression in pictures and realize that I was there for each stage in his life and I have a million and two photos to help me remember. So here goes.

TV is Better Naked

Yes I just finished blogging. While doing so I was listening to Traegan in the next room. Somehow he managed to turn the tv on... to Spongebob Squarepants. When I went to check on him, I found him like this. He had pants and a shirt on when I started. That's my boy!

Remember Me?

Hi there. Remember me? It has been a long time since I went without blogging for that long. We’ve just been super busy. Lets recap:

Traegan went to the doctor for another weight check on June 2nd. He was at 17 pounds 4 ounces then. The doctor is pleased with his progress and isn’t really concerned anymore, just monitoring closely.

We cleaned out our apartment… speaking of our apartment. Here are a few pictures I just loaded from before when we were packing up the place.

Traegan was helping me unload the movies... or something. Really it is just his most favorite game ever to take all the movies off the shelf.

He has really started climbing on things lately, this one didn't end well. It is on wheels after all.

I love so much that we are settled and he is like this more and more now.

Josh and I haven’t been very attached to that apartment since we knew it was only temporary. But when it came time to say goodbye, I had a surprisingly sentimental moment. It was the first house we lived in as a family and where we brought Traegan home to. Sad. I am happy though that ALL of Traegan’s memories will be in the new house.

We had weekly grill night with Jeremy and Julie and family. It was fun to have people over in our new place!

Josh and his brothers went fishing that weekend.

I spent the weekend at my mom’s house and Janece came and slept at our house with me.

And the rest has just been putting the house together and fixing all the little things we didn’t do before. We love it here and are thrilled with the place.

And then just a little sneak peak of pictures that are coming.

And by the way, Traegan will be one on Sunday… HOW THE F DID THAT HAPPEN? When did my baby get so big?
