Well, I made Traegan’s Halloween costume this year. That’s right…made. MADE! Like, from raw material and with no pattern whatsoever. The fact that it worked is a slight miracle and makes me feel like I can do anything a little bit.
Anyway I finished it late Thursday evening and we took his pictures last night. Can you guess what he is?
He is Link from the Legend of Zelda video game…

Now the question you may be asking yourself is why?
Well about a month or so ago we were hanging out with some of Josh’s friends from high school and Trae was with us (of course). We’d been there for a while and all of a sudden Jesse goes, “I know who Traegan looks like! He looks like Link from the original Zelda game.”
He then proceeds to pull out his phone and show us pictures like the one above and on the left. I have to say, Trae kind of does look like him. It was dang funny and we all laughed for a long time about how much he really does look like him.
Ever since then Josh just thought it would be the coolest if he was Link. And I picked his costume last year so I figured Josh could have a turn before Traegan starts getting an opinion of his own. And so I made a Link costume.
And Traegan LOVES it!
And he is ready to go fight the bad guys! And SMASH THE POTS! (Inside joke from when Josh would NEVER stop playing Legend of Zelda).

Josh put the sword in the ground to get Trae to hold still for a few minutes. He is just the cutest.
It actually was in there pretty good though. He really couldn’t get it out. Ha!

He closed his eyes while walking thought the corn and I thought it was stinking cute!

This picture is out of focus and blurry, but it just looks to me like he is saying, "I won the game!"
