And... Soccer

I'm calling this caught up.  Yes I am.  Freaking wa-hoo!  I haven't been caught up... this year.  Wow!

Anyway, this Saturday we began the adventure that is soccer again.

Traegan was all sorts of ready to "be mean".

Mostly that just translated to him making mean faces, standing in "wrestler poses" and running a lot.  :)

But he does a mean kick off!

Avy was so excited to go.  I made her promise to stay with me (and not go to the playground) since she was still rashy.  But I didn't want to miss the first game.

And goodness, she is still so pretty.

Gareth cuddled up with Grandma Prize until he fell asleep.  Happy happy happy boy!

Traegan did to his credit run awfully fast and the whole time, but not much aggressive or trying to get the ball.  He did, however, pretty much always flail his arms around like a crazy and yell when he ran.  So that was awesome!

After the game.  I do love them so!

Oh and it should be noted that Josh made, yes made, me take some sleepy stuff and sleep in the basement so that I could finally get a good nights sleep.  He's the bestest.  I love him.

Sickies

I'm almost there!  Whoot!

Tuesday (3/24) Gareth was much sad with the teething.  He was okay as long as I held him.  Then he grinned.  He's such a sweet baby!

That night we also went to the Blue and Gold dinner for Josh's scouting calling.  It was nice to not have to make dinner.  And it was especially nice because Jason and Noelle and family were there too.   My kids were in heaven and Noelle held Gareth so I could actually help.  Awesome!

When Avonelle woke up on Wednesday you could just tell she was sick.  She had a fever and just looked like she was going to hurl at any moment.  She needed her mom almost the entire day.

This little boy didn't love my constant snuggling with his sister.  I had to break away occasionally to play with him.  Oh and this is his new grin.  I LURVE it!

More snuggles.  But mostly... but those eyelashes?!

The next day she seemed totally fine, but not 100%.  She took like a four hour nap and I let her skip dance.  I'm SO GLAD I did...

Because the next day she broke out in hives... all over her body.  I thought it was weird, but especially weird since she had just been sick.  So I made an appointment so that I wouldn't have to worry about it all weekend.

By the time we got to the doctor, she just looked terrible.  Her skin was hivey and splotchy from head to toe... literally!

Turns out it's a virus that's been going around.  My Dr. said he has seen it a ton the last few weeks.  I'm glad I opted out of a few things the days before and avoided the spreading.  Poor Av.

When we got home and she was sleeping again I made sure to play with my neglected boys.

Gareth discovered his tongue if you couldn't tell.  :)

Oh and Traegan came home from school like this... Why?  Well I asked him that myself and his response: "I need to be a wrestler."  Wow.

After a ROUGH day, hubby went to the store to get a Redbox and he brought me home a brownie.  Huzzah!  Sometimes all you need is a hubby that loves you and a brownie.

It was a good thing I had it too.  Because I was up until way into the next day with this little one.  He was happy, but AWAKE!

Busy Stuff

Will.  Catch.  Up.

This was just Avy after she woke up from her nap.  She insisted I hold her and fell back asleep in my arms.  Then woke up and grinned when I took her picture.  Funny little lady!  (3/16)

Oh and this video I took because Gareth's laugh kills me dead.

Tuesday, March 17th, I woke up and thought I was going to die.  I was so sick.  I'm really not sure what it was still.  But if felt like the flu, just not quite as severe.  Josh was a gem and stayed home from work to take care of me.

After I took many, many, many naps Josh decided it was time to teach Traegan how to ride a bike with no training wheels.  We went and got a picnic and then headed to the church parking lot.

Avy just got a new bike.  It was a bonus Little Mermaid bike that Jason and Noelle found in their attic and gave to us.  Huzzah!  Free bike!  She was SO EXCITED (and completely fearless) to ride her bike!

Then there was Traegan.  He was TERRIFIED.  He did okay, but he was freaking scared.

He wore his wrestling shirt... to make him feel brave.  Yep.

He got better, but we decided we need to put the training wheels back on for a minute while he learns to petal better.  He isn't very good at that so there is no point in taking away the wheels yet.  We just don't really ride bikes that often.  We need to!

But Avy jumped every chance she got to have a turn.  And while she couldn't REACH the pedals, she was thrilled to death to try.

Oh how I love her!
(Thanks to Noelle for letting us borrow a tiny helmet last minute).

I like her.  Peanut butter and jam face and all!

And that was about all the pictures I took.  Mostly I laid on the blanket and tried not to die.

Wednesday I was feeling much better.  Yeah!  We did our normal stuff and then headed to the doctor for well child checks later that afternoon.

Best story ever?
So I walked in at the exact same time as another mom and her little one.  She checked in first and then went to the waiting room where she sat on the little kid couch and got her little dude playing with some toys.

Once we got checked in and walked into the waiting room, Traegan walked right up to her and said, Hi!  My name is Traegan.  You can go sit by my mom and talk about mom stuff."

Facepalm.  It was a little awkward for a minute.  Oh well.  Thanks Traegan.

Gareth was practicing his standing in the waiting room.

Avy was practicing her duck faces in the exam room.  Wow.

Stats!
Avonelle 3 Year Stats:
Height: 36.3 inches - 43%
Weight: 26.5 pounds - 7% Go figure she's still tiny huh?

Gareth 9 Month Stats:
Height: 27.25 inches - 15%
Weight: 17 pounds 2 ounces - Less than 3%
Head Circumference: 44.2 centimeters - 16%
So Gareth has caught up (or down rather) to my other tiny children.  He is moving SO MUCH more now and therefore not gaining weight as fast.  But he is still only about 10 pounds and 10 inches smaller than Av.  Ha!

And while we were in the exam room waiting for the doctor, Gareth learned a new trick.  It was awesome!

Later that night we headed to Maddox for Josh's Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Kents's birthdays.  We had almost the whole extended family there and it was a blast. The kids LOVED being with their cousins.

I think Avy ate nothing, but the ice cream, but that's normal for her.

It's always nice to get everyone together.  We had fun!

Then on Thursday when Noelle and I picked up Traegan and Owen from Kindergarten, they started talking about the program that night.

For weeks Traegan had been starting to tell me about something they were practicing at school and then stopping abruptly because "it is a surprise".  I was worried I was going to miss whatever this thing was because he wouldn't tell me about it.  Well I totally would have if they hadn't let it slip a bit that afternoon.

So even though we had NO idea what was happening, we filed into the school that evening after hurrying and taking Avy to dance.

Traegan and Owen were so excited.  Clearly.

Basically they did nothing.  They clapped their hands in their seats a few times and then at the end of the slideshow they went up to the front and clapped.  It was hilarious how confused they were.  At least they were cute!

And just because he's cute and follows me wherever I go... even in the bathroom.  (3/21)

And Sunday we got to watch Jason and Noelle's boys for a while while they went to visit family in the hospital and then go to Jeremy and Julie's and have a birthday party for Kylie.  Fun fun.  More family time with cousins.  Our kids LOVE it!

And there's a few more days.  :)

Bear And Bouncing

These were all on Friday, March 13th.  We had a very fun day and not at all unlucky.  :)

I made about a million of these bear hats for my job with Avonli Cottage.  I had to hurry and try one on the Gar Bear before I delivered them as he is... well, Gar the Bear.

Swoon.

Then he wheeled around in the walker with Av for a minute while I loaded the car.  :)

Anyway we drove down to Clearfield, had nap time and then got ready for our evening activity.

And this was Miss Av.  She made this mask and she was loving it.

We drove up to Millville to go to my mom's ward party with her.  They rented the bouncy houses again and we had so much fun.
(Much more fun than last year when I was HUGE pregnant.  Link: http://jhjonze.blogspot.com/2014/03/bounce-bounce-baby.html)

However, this year the kids didn't need any help.  They just went for it, over and over and over!

I LOVE THIS FACE!

Gareth hung out with Grandma basically the entire time.  And I snuck on the big slide a time or two myself.  I love it!

Fun fun fun!

Oh and then disaster hit on Sunday.  We were supposed to go to Owen's birthday party that evening.  Well we are literally walking to the garage door when Traegan just barfs EVERY where.  Like every where.  Like I was right next to him on the floor putting on Avy's shoes.  She goes, "um, there puke on me hand."  Gross.

Anyway we made him stay home from the party and he cried and cried and cried.  It was literally the end of the world that he didn't get to go to his best buddies party.

Luckily it was an isolated incident and he never even acted sick after that.  Poor dude.

Anyway, that.  But I'm catching up!  Whoot!

Snuggles

So like I mentioned in the last post, I took a little overnight jaunt with some friends to SLC/Park City on March 6-7.  What I didn't mention though was that Josh took FABULOUS care of the kids and I came home to a CLEAN house.  Whoot!  Husband rocks!

Anyway, Gareth missed me.  Like a lot.  For the next week he had to be on top of me ALL the time.  And he HAD to be snuggled to sleep again, not that I'm complaining.

This one was Sunday.
(Filter so you can't see my mascara raccoon eyes as badly.  Ha!)

But Gareth wasn't the only one.  This one was on Monday and when I snuggled Gareth to sleep Avy came and laid on my butt.  Totally loved it.  I love snuggles.

Wednesday I drove down to Clearfield for work and took this picture on the way home because this is how Traegan was sleeping.  Looks uncomfortable to me, but he moved it and put it back in his sleep like five times.

Thursday morning, Traegan had put some of his stuffed animals in his socks the night before and left them in all night... to keep them cozy.  He's so thoughtful.  :)

More cuddles with the Gar Bear.

I tell you, one day he won't have cheeks anymore.  Because one day I'm a gonna eat them right off his face!

And late that night I stayed up to help Josh with a super secret project.  We had fun and laughed.
(And I have zero make up on and greasy hair.  Ignore that).
